Well done to Moe and the team for delivering the WAMITAB Level 2 Sustainable Recycling Activities Diploma to 77 learners at 5 prisons across the Midlands.
The qualification provides learners with the skills required to work in accordance with recycling industry requirements for collection, reception and segregation, processing, WEEE and reuse activities. The qualification also ensures that learners are competent to promote good practice, work as a team, comply with health and safety, promote recycling services and improve their personal performance.
Commenting on the concept of the training programme, WAMITAB’s Commercial Director Mark Hyde, said:
"The launch of this academy offers a route for learners to develop sought after skills whilst also offering employers a pool of potential employees who can demonstrate knowledge, competence and commitment to working within the resource and waste management sector."
Maxine Bennett, Deputy Director of Innovation & Development at Milton Keynes College also said:
"Milton Keynes College values this partnership with K2e and the job opportunities it has provided to its learners."
