Wrexham training company is kick starting careers with a little help from Business Wales
Kickstart2employment (K2e) is successfully securing contracts across the UK following support from Business Wales, the Welsh Government's support service.
The Wrexham-based company, which was initially set up to work in partnership with Everton Football Club and Newcastle FE College with a remit to work with young people who were at risk of offending, is now rolling out its programmes across the UK.
It creates tailored education and training programmes, and provides supported work placements to encourage young people to develop employment skills, healthy lifestyles, and independent living skills. K2e has been supported by Business Wales from the beginning, receiving help to develop its business plan as well as assistance with HR policies and sourcing capital investment.
Julian Hughes, co-founder of K2e, said:
"The support we've had from Business Wales has been phenomenal"
